Snake: You lost me again. It seems like we are back to that old conversation. The removal of Saddam Hussein was the right and rational thing to do. His regime was a threat to the world’s democracy. I don’t understand why the US military action that took place in Iraq would “diminish the professionalism of our military and the science that works to create all those weapons.” Had he not been removed, he’d have continued to fool around with the UN inspectors, as he effectively did during the past 10 years; he’d manage to buy himself time and obtain nuclear warheads (it doesn’t seem to be that difficult at present since N. Korea and Pakistan already have them). He would continue genocide, killing his own people. He never cared about his countrymen, and he certainly would use the nuclear warheads (Israel would be the first target) regardless the outcome for his own country.
I don’t want to continue this discussion with you anymore. I guess we will remain on opposite sides here.
Alesha: I agree 100%. Being superstitious is almost like being paranoiac, which has nothing to do with being religious.
